About the Book
Biblical Principles on Singleness is a ground-breaking book of Christian candor and biblical honesty. Once again, Bev Gilliard has given struggling young Christians a great gift—a book that combines scriptural wisdom with a sense of grave urgency. Bev writes with passion and credibility, and this author does not duck the hardest issues. The Bible is the authority on Godly principles and is full of practical instructions and answers for the questions Christians has. Indeed, there is and always will be a lot we do not know about God and the things of God.
However, God has provided enough information and answers in His Word that is true and that all Christians ought to believe as believers in God.For generations, single people have gotten the wrong message about what they are supposed to think of their lives; That they are supposed to be ashamed of being single, they are supposed to feel miserable and isolated and desperate to marry.True enough, as Christians you don’t want to break God’s commandments, which would be committing sins of commission. But you also can be guilty of the sin of omission, which is not doing what you should.Additionally, many Christians accept that if God wanted them to know about something, He would provide it in the Bible, God’s Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, and if it wasn't there, that is because God does not feel it necessary for anyone to know, or else God will provide the evidence needed to be based on the relationship and the condition of the Christian in need. This is standard among Christian communities.
Also, while the various religious groups present God, in many forms, based on their belief and one faith, all seem to be in agreement that there is only one God. And, their faith and belief in their God is the basis for an explanation as to why certain things happened as they do, and if you trust God, you can either accept things as they are or God calls for you to come and reason with Him.However, like with any situation in life, there is a minute few that wants to question and figure out God. In their mindset, they decide how big or small God is, how significant or unnecessary, and they call upon God only when they need Him otherwise God can rest on the shelf until they are ready to pick Him up. Unfortunately for them because that is not Who God is or how God is.
God says He is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. And there are a few people from the Scientific field who want to explain away our emotions, health, vitality, and when we live and die, like a Meteorologist predicting when it will rain and when it will not. However, while it is tempting to set up religion against science in any discussion of life, death, and purpose, God’s Word found in His Holy Scripture is the final authority on why and how we live and breathe. God’s Word provides all truths, and so this author references Scripture in all her writings. You must have a Bible to read God’s Word daily. Someone wise said: “The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible.” Proverbs 19:20 (KJV), “20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.” Proverbs 25:5 (KJV), “5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.”

What friends like you are saying about the book:

After reading Biblical Principles on Singleness I felt immense peace regarding my single status. This book was an answer to all the questions I had and have been praying about. Now whether I remain single or is bless to become married, I can live happy either way. Praise God for using Author Bev Gilliard, such an inspiration. Thomas St. James
Biblical Principles on Singleness is a great read. It opened and prepared my heart to transition from being a widow to welcoming another wonderful woman in my life. It was an awakening for me when I read that God grants us permission to move on after our spouse is gone to rest. Sometimes we know these things but then we don't live them until we get the confirmation. I was struggling to move on for a long time and this book set me back onto a path of happiness. Simone Ipsom
Biblical Principles on Singleness clearly explains the myths surrounding singleness and explain the mechanisms that lead to divorce and how to avoid it. It also tackles what it means to be a widow and how to live a happy widow single life which I found interesting since my dad is dead and my mom has been widowed for years. This book really is for everyone and includes practical advice for those who are divorce and covers single life after divorce but also whether you should remarry your ex. It is just full of interesting Biblical supported information. Great! Agatha Brooks, San Francisco
